Brittany can boast about thousands of chapels. Chapels are annex places of worship in a hamlet.
They most often stand next to a fountain and cavalry and are related to a patron saint that had a reputation for curing people. Every year, a religious festivity called “pardon” takes place to honour the patron saint.

The heart of the Pays d’Auray abounds with chapels, each one more beautiful than the other. They tell us about the Breton know-how and popular beliefs, mixing harmoniously secular and sacred art.
